GO PRO 9

                               GO PRO 9

Hi everyone hope's you guys doing good, I m  spokesman-review back with another blog, today we have GoPro 9. I tested it. I'll tell you all about in this blog. Let me spoil the end for you: this action cam with a screen on the front, 30 % extra battery autonomy, with even better image stability, 5K resolution, I like it a lot more than the previous generation. I will replace all of my GoPro 8s over here, with GoPro 9s. I will also have to replace all the batteries as they are now bigger and no longer compatible. I have already bought 4 GoPro 9, but I will buy more and it will cost me a lot because it now costs 480 euros. Or 380 euros, if you get a GoPro PLUS subscription at the same time, this discount is only valid for one GoPro. It allows you to have unlimited cloud storage, also you can replace your GoPro if it breaks within the first year. They are now trying to sell you subscriptions rather than products, hoping that you stay subscribed for life. I'm not sponsored by GoPro, which is a shame. Also, here's another spoiler: In low-light conditions, it sucks as much as previous generations. But the key thing, we'll start with that.

It helps stabilize big cameras. Very good. It's heavy, it's bulky, but the quality is very good. This is a Ronin-SC. Same principle for hybrid cameras. But there is even better than all that for stability! The best of the best is the GoPro 9. It does something absolutely exceptional in terms of stability. It has the ability to keep the horizon level. The GoPro 8 was already very good at this and now it's even better. Warning! Extreme horizon test. Let's go. Bam! The horizon stayed level the entire time. I will try to break the record for the lap time of my garden. And to complicate matters I have an iPhone 11 Pro in my right hand and in my left the GoPro 9. You probably wonder how the stabilization is so good, even compared to an iPhone 11 Pro which has very good stabilization in its own right. It is thanks to the new 23.6 million pixel sensor, which allows you to frame anywhere in this large sensor, with a built-in gyroscope that compensates for different movements. The GoPro 9 is much bigger than the GoPro 8. Take a look. 156 grams, an extra 36 grams for the new GoPro, but it has the advantage of having a rear screen which is 15% larger. As i can see. And a front screen that pops up, which is brand new and is very practical.

The ideal of course, for selfie or vlogging, but also just to check. Because even if I'm not the one filming. I can see how I am in the frame and it makes things easier. I can point out something behind me, bush for example. You get used to this front screen very quickly. So, you will be able to judge if GoPro 9 is able to filter out the wind noise, which is very important,. 5K. It really films in 5K, this new GoPro 9 which is quite impressive considering how small it is. It's currently not all that useful, but it allows some cropping in post-production. The photos are now 20 million pixels, which is a good evolution compared to GoPro 8 where the photos were 12 megapixels. And the overall quality is better. But it is still a long way from the quality of a phone if we're talking exclusively about photos. In regards to video quality, I have never been a big fan of the GoPro image. It's too saturated. The colors are not very realistic. There is no depth of field blur, but at the same time, it is also very practical. You can judge by the image you see. For most applications, this is sufficient, especially with such stabilization.

This big GoPro also has the advantage of having a big battery. This is very good news since the battery has always been the weak point of the GoPro. Roughly speaking: GoPro 8, 1 hour. GoPro 9, 1 hour, and 20 minutes of battery life. Has this kind of situation ever happened to you? There you are, just chilling, with your GoPro in your pocket. And suddenly something really interesting happens, like there's the Pogtador going by. It's passed already. It's too far away. It's all about capturing the moment. Fortunately, there is a feature called Insight, which is pretty darn smart. There, you see? It has been recording for 30 seconds. It means that I have not yet hit the record button, but the camera is already recording. I get it out. Hop, I press the button. And as you see it starts at 31 seconds. This means that the 30 seconds are now saved on the SD card. Clever. I like it. But it drains the battery. But it really f*cking drains the battery, it must be said. I forgot some more nice features, the possibility of doing a life directly on social media. Also, the possibility of planning the start time of a video. Like that, if you ever want to do a 4 a.m. time lapse.

You don't even have to wake up anymore, you just schedule it to start at 4 in the morning. The video will start recording by itself.   It didn't take me very long. It will be an opportunity to test GoPro's after-sales service since I have the GoPro Plus subscription. I can get a replacement for a GoPro that I broke. Now a little test in low light. I film simultaneously with the iPhone and with the GoPro. It's considerably noisier, less clear, and less qualitative on the GoPro. You should know that the iPhone isn't great either in low light. I say iPhone, but I could easily say the same thing about Samsung, or any other brand. But the GoPro is a lot worse, as usual.

CONCLUSION

Why do I need 9 GoPro 9s? This is to put on all sides of my camera card, and some extra for other interesting cars. So I need 7 to 8 GoPro minimum. Since it's called the 9, I'll just get 9. So, I will get to the conclusion quickly because the sun is setting and, soon, we won't see anything on the GoPro 9. It's the best Action cam, for sure. But to the question: what do I prefer between this and the GoPro 9? Not an easy question. I think I prefer the phone. For vlogging, am I going to take the GoPro or the phone? I'll pick up the phone because the stability is pretty good already. The photos are better. Low light is better. If ever, on the other hand, I need to film on the Pogtador, put on something to film with a suction cup for example. Am I going to take one or the other? Obviously, I'll take the GoPro. The GoPro, very good, but it's still a niche market, especially when you have something so good in your pocket, all the time, every day. If you want to film while on a bicycle, or you want to dive underwater, etc. You won't find anything better than this GoPro 9. THANK YOU  FROM SPOKESMAN REVIEW 2020. STAY SAFE GUYS.
