We're actually gonna go test drive an f8 yes where we go try the new Ferrari f8 so the reason is that Fred one of my reader a long time of year a really good guy he actually invited me out here to help him figure out if he wants this f8 and what options are getting all that stuff plus driving an f8.
So today we've got our BMW steed she's gonna take us to Newport Ferrari you know Newport Ferrari so we're gonna go to Newport Ferrari try the f8 and he might be buying one maybe so you're recording all of the nefarious activities Oh all right then Auto button there, you are in the f8.
Yeah I've gotta have the windows down for this they finally did some with the a/c controls yeah look at that it's all redesigned and they change the headlights controls the winch wiper controls even the visibility rear words is a little bit different the glass is bigger you hear the turbos alone.
Yeah spooling up so it still revs to 8,000 on that's pretty awesome obviously tight really race just make it fun give me a little notice when you punch hits gonna put me back in these seeds, yeah well I'm in fourth gear right this is fourth gear watch holy shit it takes a moment for the turbos to get going at fourth gear.
But at I mean it's only got like two thousand eight hundred RPMs so if we put down the third gear whoa whoa that lot of power easy fast all right this is interesting oh wow the shifts that there unbelievable I think they really improved this transmission yeah really good shifts responsible.
Wow okay oh my goodness holy shit does it I can hear rip it tell me okay that's a little different isn't it holy shit okay this is ridiculous unbelievably fast oh my god this is my domain. Wow okay, I have a feeling that Dan approves this holy crap this is absurd absolutely absurd fad to go down to the third meant 3800 rpm.
So I'll just have blipping real quick. Wow they refined the hell out of this thing I can really hide the died with it even in suspension I notice a difference, yeah it's we're in race mode it's not bouncy yeah like the funky the for my mates bouncy in race mode because it gets so tight.
This is still really smooth and these downshifts are like just lightning. Wow okay I am in love with this oh it was just auto-start oh gosh okay that just that lost points that right there all right we gotta find out how to turn that off is the man at - you know in race yeah I'm in a race is there like that little a button.
I don't see it all right that's the problem, I didn't learn all the buttons yet if you gas it will it start again I hope yeah there goes I just tapped the gas oh gosh and it's like you got this car that has all of this horsepower and go and then you go and you ruin the whole thing with that Ottawa.
Oh listening to that Oh ripped yeah yeah holy shit so one thing that's weird is the rear glass uh-huh I think it's Lexan because it's got a weird distortion in it, I think it's a tribute to damn 40 yeah so the rear view is actually terrible because you're looking through a little window and then you got Lexan distorting the view.
So it's really better well compared to your 458 it is very visible in the air for 58 yeah well I mean the rear visibility in all these fries is garbage, to begin with, and that just makes it worse. I mean I'm just blown away about a massive torque on this thing sanity.
How about the lag it definitely has some lag it does have some, yeah you can never really get away from that from what with the turbo vehicle no it's not bad but it's definitely there oh my goodness are you surprised yeah I surprised I like it this much really the turn signals are better the way they did the turn signals.
They're like two-step turn signals now it's like you click and then you really click it to get it to do a push uphold if I change ladies you push it down like two details now sound is much much better than the yes you know what Bravo 4 how did the buttons feel they're good.
Are they I think maybe they hopefully got rid of the soft-touch crap oh that would be great I like the down sheds they're really good yeah they're so sharp now do these new cars do they have a different f1 transmission than our 458 yeah wow that killed it that killing I'm sorry why would you do that.
I know they have to leave yeah. Oh now does it help you outdo it you think it corrects you or it doesn't evolve certainly the tracks controls preventing it from spinning like crazy right there yeah cuz it would have just been all over the road yeah that's what I figured but it's not it doesn't feel at rusev.
Like it doesn't what I hate is when the traction control kicks on it's on these cars and then just like flat lines the engine yeah this thing's still pulling even though it's fighting you know it's fighting to keep your traction really well done Ferrari this is quite impressive how about the steering will any changes.
Differences in the actual steering wheel the well the wheel itself is a little bit smaller like in this part right here and then the controls changed so change the lighting controls on it that's annoying is that's believed because if I know how to disable that and they changed the controls for this for the stereo.
It's actually like a little bit easier to figure out now so it's got like a home button back button settings favorites and then, of course, the controls for the climate control are totally different it's what we do right it's much better yeah so the controls on the steering wheel.
The turn signals are different everything's different on here which is nice it's better one thing I did notice about this particular vehicle is that it does not have the display no for the passenger side, yeah you know it's an option or not it might be it actually is an option okay.
I don't know if I really want that it's like a gimmicky yeah so there is turbo lag but it's very slight is it yeah what about the seats out of the seat field seats are excellent, yeah another thing that they did is on a ship flights the last light is blue really I like that yeah that's cool.
All right does it give it all it's got Wow zero to 60 in 2.8 seconds is so fast 42.9 2.8 2.9 so 710 horsepower and this yeah it's 3.9-liter twin-turbo Pista engine yeah basically it took the Pista engine through the in f/8 and it's called it good like if you wanna drive it civil it can be a civil man.
I can feel that air yeah it sounds really good it does but I have to say something what the 458 it's still saying oh no it's yeah certainly sounds better alright Fred's driving now enjoying just seeing this beautiful car I will say it but like the trans tunnel the way they have this set up.
That looks really nice yeah you still got pathetic cupholders which are fine actually you only have one so you get like a can of soda one oh look at they finally have the button here's a latch on it that alright so some noticeable improvement yeah lots of carbon everywhere.
The vents are a lot easier to deal with I like how they got like a little messy here that's cool that is really nice really especially the passenger vent it's actually blowing okay now I have to admit. I'm probably not as much of a test driver as Dan is I'll do my best that's fine.
You know don't kill us I'm sure that would be a fun insurance nightmare to do I already have it in a manual mode oh dear okay great unbelievable it's just Torquayand you know I'll have to say that the steering is stiffer yes yeah it almost seems like when I got some speed go and it stiffened electronically which is nice.
Yeah, stupid auto start/stop is terrified geez yeah this is like finally easy to understand right really simple nice knobs you know really good knobs digital yeah a little display right here yeah ooh I like that really nice, yeah the controls for the stereo actually seem to make a lot more sense that looks way easier to figure out.
Oh we got inside the road for Lambooh goodness oh this is great you got the road with no traffic I get thrown with gosh you know what just as well oh good for you for our curious yeah oh wow it is really quiet you know you can hear the engine not anymore but I did notice the lag.
Yeah it's not terrible it just now but the vehicle is so fast yeah we're I'm just willing to completely overlook that I mean it's just it's unbelievable and it just the prevalent thought my mind right now yeah I want to try this on tracks oh yeah we got to do it this ought to do it.
The track controls for like the axle left oh yes some stuff is down there parking sensor one used to be up here right and it was really if you have any corrective vision whatsoever it's really hard to see it, yeah you know you can't do it I think the economics are way better oh absolutely yeah.
The seats are really comfortable and I think these are the standard seats I don't think they're the race seats and I know that because it has the electric controls yeah they did mention that this the race seats don't have that still behaves, Pleasant in traffic it absolutely does that's the difference between modern supercars and older ones is you can drive them in traffic.
And it's totally civil you even get the auto-stop noxious thing that's, yeah but other than that it's really good it's very team while ships great, I can picture you know, I can actually picture myself driving this more on a daily basis than the 458 you need to say that.
It's certainly a little more comfortable oh yeah that's receipts worker clothes dispenser this market client and I've noticed that there's more legroom well shit, I just realized what she wasn't all the way really I just moved it way far back that's nice this is the coop you know the coop a so I don't know how the spider would be and you know how it goes with the convertibles.
I will take my car anywhere oh my goodness so think you too get F yeah those have absolutely undoubtedly is the question is when they may actually have a spider demo to which I would like to try sir one thing that I like about the new spider is that you're able to bring the top down at like about 3035 miles per hour that's a really good thing.
Because once you come to a stop you want to bring the top down you can't start moving again until the cycle is complete because look you come to a stop and then you start doing that cycle and you know you got to remain stopped while the whole thing finishes itself and then you look like an idiot.
Yeah or a show-off or both I like all the carbon options on this nice option point heavily yes the roof interesting material that's calm just check it works well accelerate cable is definitely connected oh they're no longer cable sorry that's all well I'm sorry yeah so.
Now there's nobody look pretty good but I can feel that heat oh yeah this car generates a lot that's fastly like it's this piece right here is there for air oh this actually goes through and so the lid is actually shorter so yeah this is Lexan I'm digging the dual taillights that's much better yeah that diffuser would look epic and Carvin but that gonna be expensive there is tiny little air ducts right here.
Yeah there's the same there are so much cool little details on this car the more you looking the more appreciative you are of it sure that's all the turbos and intercooler Wow interior is just amazing then you got like an air intake right here and then look at they finally changed the side marker yeah it's different but same side view mirrors the nose of it has a little bit more of the f1 car or it sticks out counsel with the downforce ducts.
CONCLUSION
Fred wants to get a spider they said it could be as much as a year before they even do allocations we don't know so hopefully he doesn't get a car within a year to two years hopefully sooner than that hopefully you guys enjoyed that that was pretty amazing I can't wait to see Simoes on the road I can't wait to have Fred own this thing so we can really get out and drive it you guys are amazing you have to subscribe my blogs we're gonna be doing a ton of car stuff here I wanna stay tuned it's gonna be sweet.
